About the Breed:

The Bernese Mountain Dog is a strikingly beautiful, strong and large breed dog originating from Bern, Switzerland and the Swiss Alps. They are blessed with a lovely temperament, quick to obey, loyal and love to please their people. They can range in weight from about 70-115 pounds and sometimes up to 130 pounds. Because of their thick, beautiful coat, they thrive in colder climates and also need a regular appointment with a groomer. These dogs are a great addition to any family size as they are great with adults and gentle with children. They are eager to please their owner and with proper, consistent training they make a wonderful, well behaved pet.
